4 steps to success via investing in Brand Design

Ok, so you’re fresh out of a brand design project with your designer and have all these fresh goods in your computer now. 

But suddenly it hits: the confusion of what to do with all that to actually make a difference to your business and your results!

Because once you’ve grasped the foundations, it’s a new phase: learning how to leverage it all.

And believe you me, it's common that it's at this stage you experience a kind of paralysis because of all the possibilities opening up.

So that's what I'll cover today - 4 steps to success after having your branding designed.

Because even the most beautiful brand identity won’t work on it’s own. It always needs the human element and that’s where you come in, my friend! So let’s get to the core of what you can do to put your brand identity to work, aka a plan for action to guarantee success.

Below I’ll list 4 ways to put your brand identity to work, aka a plan for action to get the wheels turning for real.

01. Customer journey touchpoints

In your branding project you mapped out the client journey with your designer, right: how do clients find you and what steps there are from stranger to client. 

Now, view this process again in detail and make sure every touchpoint the client has with you is branded with your visuals and conveying the mood and voice of your brand.


02. Community

Start building a community (if you haven’t already)! Actual human people are the prerequisite to any business’ success.

Use platforms like newsletter or social media, and become a resource on something. Develop a habit of sharing value.


03. Social Media

Choose one, max two, social media platforms to focus on.

Share your perspectives and knowledge.

Decide on 3–4 core content pillars (=core topics to post under) to lead conversations in. Your content should check these 3 boxes:

I. you enjoy talking about it

II. your audience is interested and inspired by it

III. your content will naturally promote selling your services

Help people see what you can bring to their table. And brand the heck out of it visually, of course! Be known for your distinct brand style AND your point-of-view.


04. Brand identity IRL

Don't forget what happens outside the screens.

If you have a store or an office that your customers visit, leverage your brand identity when you design it’s interiors, beyond the logo taped in your window.

Consistency is everything and communicating your branding in your space add to clients experience of your professionalism and trustworthyness.
